Bengaluru WhatsApp community and WhatsApp group for Chennai readers
Updated 4 November 2026
The MyBangalore.in WhatsApp community is one Bengaluru WhatsApp group for city news, Namma Metro and traffic notes, jobs, events, and local services. Chennai readers use this page to see what the WhatsApp community group covers and to join with the operator's invite. It is an independent community, not an official BBMP, BMRCL, or Karnataka government channel. The city website at mybanglore.in is still being published.
Disclaimer: Civic guidance for residents of Greater Chennai. Official zone, ward, tax, and complaint data live on GCC and agency portals. We do not replace municipal applications or claim live complaint status. This page introduces one Bengaluru WhatsApp community, which is also the Bengaluru WhatsApp group, for Chennai readers. It is not a BBMP, BMRCL, BMTC, or Karnataka government channel. Confirm traffic, jobs, rents, and civic notices before you act on them.
Who this page is for
Use it if you are in Chennai and Bengaluru is the next city on your week: a job shift, a family visit, a college move, or a weekend trip. People already in Whitefield, Electronic City, Koramangala, Jayanagar, Yelahanka, Hebbal, or anywhere else in the city can join the same WhatsApp community group. Readers who want Chennai updates stay on the Chennai WhatsApp join form.
What the WhatsApp community group is for
One WhatsApp group is the whole community. Members and admins share Bengaluru updates in that chat instead of hunting across many pages:
- Bengaluru news and civic notes
- Traffic, Namma Metro, and other transport
- Jobs, internships, and career posts
- Local events and activities
- Business information and everyday services
- Rentals, PGs, and property posts members share
- Education and public announcements
- Startups, technology, and city projects
- Weather, environment, and public-safety notes
Areas called out for local posts: Whitefield, Electronic City, Koramangala, Jayanagar, Yelahanka, Hebbal. Posts are leads. A job line, a Metro delay, or a rental note still needs a check against the employer, BMRCL, or the person offering the room.
How to join the WhatsApp group
Open the invite and request to join the WhatsApp community group. You can read every page on mychennaicity.in without joining. This page does not ask for your phone number, and nobody should add numbers that were collected for something else.
The city website
The WhatsApp community's website address is mybanglore.in. On 4 November 2026 that site was still being published, so this page and the WhatsApp group are the live introductions. When the site is up, it is the home for Bengaluru news and the WhatsApp community landing. This Chennai page stays a guide for Chennai readers. Coimbatore readers have a separate introduction at mycovai.in.

Questions
- Is the Bengaluru WhatsApp community the same as the WhatsApp group?
- Yes. There is one MyBangalore.in WhatsApp group. WhatsApp community and WhatsApp group are two names for that same chat.
- Is this the Chennai WhatsApp group?
- No. mychennaicity.in runs a separate Chennai group. Join that one from /whatsapp-community/join. This page is only for the Bengaluru WhatsApp community group.
- Who runs the Bengaluru WhatsApp group?
- It is an independent community information initiative under the MyBangalore.in name, from the same family of city desks as mychennaicity.in and mycovai.in. It is not the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, BMRCL, BMTC, or the Karnataka government.
- What will I receive if I join the WhatsApp community?
- Member posts and admin shares in the WhatsApp group about Bengaluru news, traffic and Metro, jobs, events, local services, rentals, education notices, and city developments. Volume depends on what members share. Treat job leads and civic alerts as leads to verify, not as official orders.
- Do I have to join before reading Chennai pages?
- No. News, jobs, and events on mychennaicity.in stay open. Joining this Bengaluru WhatsApp group is optional.
- Where is the city website?
- The intended public site is https://mybanglore.in. As of 4 November 2026 that website is still being published, so the working way to join today is the WhatsApp invite on this page.
- Can someone add my number for me?
- No. Join only if you want the group. Do not forward other people's numbers for bulk adding.
